The Ultra Maritime Quality Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfilment of Ultra's Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Responsible for all Quality Assurance activities related to your assigned projectsDevelop and improve process documentation to support the Quality Management System.Maintain and improve Quality Assurance metrics, analyze data and identify trends.Responsible for the effective and timely delivery of Material Review Boards.Responsible for the effective delivery of Non-Conformance Reports.Support with internal and external audits.Create, review and maintain project quality plans.Where delegated, being the signatory for Quality Assurance for critical business activities such as designer reviews, production readiness reviews and CofC signatory.Provide Quality Assurance awareness training.Provide guidance to your specific project teams on the usage of Ultra’s QMS.Proactively address customer quality issues and concerns within a cross functional team relating to your projects.Carry out independent assurance assessments against project plans, build documentation, change requests, company procedures, equipment calibration, customer contractual adherence etc.Promote Quality and its importance throughout the Ultra Maritime.

Required Skills

Diploma, graduate degree or equivalent work experience.3 plus years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in process development and associated metrics.Experience in managing non-conformance reports.Auditing experience.Strong problem-solving skills and expertise to develop and execute objectives.The successful candidate must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government NATO security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
