Quality Manager

Overview We are seeking a quality assurance professional to develop and administer an integrated Quality Management System (QMS). This is a newly created role to support the company's growth and volume of quality-focused initiatives, including; + ISO & CMMI Certifications + Supplier Quality Control + Configuration Management & Documentation Control The Quality Manager will work with executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and external consultants to mature, implement, and direct the company's QMS, maintaining a commitment to quality, process maturity, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the General Manager, the Quality Manager will shape QMS processes and workflows for the organization and instill quality as part of the organizational ethos. This position is onsite and will support the business headquartered in Oneida, NY. A hybrid work schedule may be considered based on business need. ` Responsibilities + Develop the organization's QMS, supporting processes, and key performance indicators measured in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI Dev and Services Level 3 compliance requirements. + Lead efforts to successfully achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification and CMMI Dev and Services Level 3 appraisal. Serve as the primary point of contact with external consultants assisting with ISO and CMMI documentation and process development, reviews, and internal assessments. Manage all efforts in maintaining/renewing certifications and appraisals. + Maintain QMS compliance to revisions or additions to applicable standards and certifications. + Track all ISO "shall" statements, CMMI practices, and associated artifacts. Ensure artifacts are adequate & appropriately mapped; adjust compliance strategy as needed. + Train stakeholders on new and existing processes; audit adherence to established procedures and administer corrective actions as needed. + Ensure ISO/CMMI-facing processes are developed in accordance with all requirements, standards, and regulations. + Support OIG Information Security team preparation and coordination of CMMC reviews and third-party assessments. + Oversee all quality aspects of procurement to include compliance with applicable contractual flow downs, supplier audits, ratings and corrective actions, approved supplier lists, material inspection/conformance, etc. + Implement, administer, and maintain Configuration Management & Documentation Control processes in accordance with contract requirements and industry guidelines. Develop and implement processes and workflows for maintaining document and material revision control, Engineering Change Orders (ECO's), and inventory control and management. + Support the Program Management function in developing and tracking both general and contract-specific quality-based metrics. + Drive process compliance and maturity, and continuous improvement activities across the organization. Map quality initiatives to corporate business goals. + Develop team member training and internal reviews to ensure organizational adherence to policies and procedures. + Apply Organizational Change Management principles in balancing the "people vs. process" aspects of quality programs. + Optimize contractual and programmatic workflows and efficiency with an emphasis on quality. + Develop recommendations and communicate to executive leadership the justification and business case for quality process improvements and/or changes to policy. + Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Management or similar preferred. + Minimum five years' experience in a similar role/capacity; experience as part of a professional services organization a plus. + Direct experience in the ISO registration/auditing lifecycle required. + Working knowledge of and prior exposure to CMMI appraisal process required. + Experience developing an organization's QMS, ISO and CMMI processes is strongly preferred; a strategic mind set and ability to formulate QMS implementation is critical. + Working knowledge of applicable Federal requirements, bid/proposal, and contract management processes strongly preferred. + Certifications preferred: + CMMI Practitioner or above + ISO QMS Internal Auditor Training or similar + Similar QA Management certifications + Proficient in Microsoft Office + Excellent communication and organization skills.
