Interprets organization/customer requirements related to product specifications. Lead audit quality checks and procedure compliance. **JOB FUNCTIONS:** **_Job functions include, but are not limited to the following_** **_:_** + Conduct audits on each piece of machinery in the printing, cutting and finishing departments using the quality inspection guidelines. + Completes quality testing on product on frequent basis. + Pulls quality customer samples from production floor or plant daily. + Performs various office work, including filing and logging of information and statistics. + Study waste patterns and develop methods to reduce COV (cost of variance). + Assist in the development of quality check analysis. + Support Continuous Improvement Projects and Initiatives. + Performing customer visits on periodic basis. **BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:** + 3-4 years of related quality,manufacturing or converting facility of similar type preferred, or equivalent combiniation of education and experience. + Must be flexible; willing to work other shifts, overtime and weekends. + Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) carrying (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, visual acuity (Near and Far). + Ability to work in team focused environment. + Work well in fast moving environment with frequent deadlines. + Good general knowledge of quality and production concepts. + Must be able to periodically travel to customer sites. + Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills. + Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.). + Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements. + Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and influence others. + Needs to be a self-starter, self-directed, and willingness to take action to move forward with ideas. **SKILLS:** + LANGUAGE SKILLS + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. + MATHEMATICAL SKILLS + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. + REASONING ABILITY + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. **EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:** + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** **SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:** + Schedules are up to 12-hour shifts Mondays – Fridays and 8-hour shifts on Saturdays.
