As a Quality Inspector at the Ridge Tool Company world headquarters in Elyria Ohio, you’ll be part of a team that delivers innovative world class tools and products to the professional tradespersons. Quality Inspectors are responsible for dimensionally inspecting standard and complex casting and machine products, following blueprint specifications by laying out reference lines, points, measuring dimensions, etc., and operating all required inspection equipment. In this Role, your Responsibilities Will Be:
•Inspects machined components and product assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications.
•Perform Process Audits.
•Support production personnel in verification of non-conforming material, tag and quarantine suspect material, and communicate quality issues to quality supervisor.
•Performs laboratory procedures, measure process performance, records data, and prepare formal reports.
•Measure parts to drawing requirements.
•Clarify work instructions pertaining to inspection criteria.
•Verify gauges and set snap gauges as needed.
•Initiate NQP (Notice of Quality Problem) with respect to identified supplier caused quality issues.
•Support quality engineers as requested.
•Additional assignments are made as deemed necessary to support business requirements.

For this Role, You Will Need:
5 years of inspection experience Proficient in blueprint reading Strong understanding of GD&T Previous experience and knowledge of gage calibration and recording. Previous experience in auditing processes and products in a production environment Previous experience in running and troubleshooting CMM’s Previous experience and the ability to use manual measurement methods (Surface plate, Micrometers, Calipers, etc.)Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
