**Location/Division Specific Information:**
As part of the Life Products Division (LPD), the Mebane, NC site focuses on producing a domestic supply of critically needed laboratory pipette tips, which are used in disease research and in high volumes for processing of diagnostic tests.
**Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (10% Shift Differential)**
**How Will You Make an Impact?:**
Ensure flawless products by inspecting finished products, raw materials, and material in process.
**A Day in the Life:**
+ Communicate continuously with the Quality Engineer and Quality management to facilitate understanding and information flow.
+ Collaborate with team members to follow up on decisions and criteria influencing manufacturing operations.
+ Perform additional tests as required to support the area.
+ Adhere to QCIP, procedures, and applicable tests.
+ Verify general production documentation.
+ Support manufacturing, engineering, materials, and quality engineering areas.
+ Coordinate start-up, restart-up, or other testing inspections.
+ Record in-process inspection batches and request necessary information for closure.
+ Inspect and measure parts, ensuring accurate form completion for product validation.
+ Notify the Quality Engineer of conditions requiring attention and register any NCR found.
**Education:**
High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
**Experience:**
+ Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience in QA or QC or related field
+ Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
+ Preferred: Proficiency in SAP QM system.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**
+ Quality and production requirements.
+ Use of measuring equipment (desirable).
+ Interpretation of tolerances in drawings (desirable).
+ Knowledge of Thermo Fisher Scientific Monterrey products (desirable).
+ Knowledge of IS0 9001 (desirable).
**Physical Requirements / Work Environment**
+ Manufacturing production and office environment.
+ Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required.
+ Position will require sitting and standing.
+ Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
