Job Description:

Location: Dover, New Hampshire

CoWorx Staffing is hiring a 1st shift Quality Inspector with one of our clients in Dover, NH!
The client manufactures and distribute medical device solutions specializing in neonatal, vascular access that save lives.

Job Summary: The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process. In addition, the Quality Inspector records data to determine and maintain quality, reliability and traceability of products.

• 1st shift schedule
• Monday – Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm
• Pay Rate: $20/hour

Responsibilities:

· Interprets SOP’s, engineering drawings, inspects skids and prepares samples for sterilization.
· Selects samples for tests at specified stages in the production process and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.
· Records inspection data.
· Evaluates accuracy to customer specifications.
· Packout Inspection
· Machine Verifications
· Component verifications including IFUs (Instruction For Use Documentation) and Labels
· UV Inspection and testing
· Assembly and kit inspection
· Packaging Testing
o Pull Testing, Peal Testing,
· Extension Set Testing
· PIP inspections and reworks as needed.
· Good Documentation Practices
· Attendance

Desired Background/Skills:

Basic English Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Basic Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Word/Email – ability to write, modify and editand save text, basic document layout
Excel – ability to work with spreadsheets and complete basis arithmetic functions
Powerpoint – ability to open presentations and modify
Comfortable using internet browsers
Must possess a strong attention to detail and be a team player.

Ability to interpret procedures, drawings, and other documents required for verification.

Fair Labor Standards Act Evaluation:
After careful evaluation it is determined that this job does not fall under the overtime exemptions outlined in the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is an hourly non-exempt position that is not exempt from overtime requirements.

Environmental Conditions:

The majority of time would be spent in the plant areas (clean room and warehouse) at moderate temperatures with the presence of machinery and power lifts. Occasionally works with toxic or caustic chemicals. Moderate noise.

Physical Capabilities:
Regularly stands, walks, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms and speaks and listens. Frequently sits. Repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting. Occasionally climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and the ability to see color. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Experience in Medical Device or other regulated industry a plus.
· One year quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
