Quality Inspector
**Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description** Inspect Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) in various stages of production and decipher between acceptable and nonconforming material based on customer and national specifications. **Responsibilities** + Analyze and interpret customer drawings, specifications, internal documents, manuals, and other materials to determine requirements. + Inspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specifications. + Identify items with rejection status and separate from those meeting requirements. + Record inspection data in the electronic system. + Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. + Generate and apply various assembly techniques. + Comply with all ESD procedures. + Use Visual Optical Inspection Aids such as a Microscope and Ring light. + Comprehend customer prints, Bill of Materials, specifications, and work instructions. + Verify all components for placement, polarity, lead prep, part marking, damage, etc. + Inspect all solder terminations regarding alloy, wetting, and volume. + Record all inspection results and define any nonconforming issues. + Notify supervisors of nonconforming issues and assist in identifying and correcting issues. + Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions for continuous improvement. **Essential Skills** + Experience with PCB, electronics, microelectronics, and blueprints. + Experience with cleanroom environments. + Proficiency in using microscopes. + Experience in electronics assembly, quality control, soldering, and wire harness. + High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. + 2-3 years’ experience as a QA PCBA inspector. + Ability to complete manual and visual inspection of the boards. + Ability to do rework. + Basic math skills. + Ability to recognize and distinguish colors. + Ability to read and comprehend technical documents. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Current IPC-A-610 and J-standard certification (expired or current). + Knowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components onto PCBs. + Ability to perform mechanical assembly of small electrical components. + Ability to use epoxy and RTV or any adhesives as needed (odorless and non-toxic). **Why Work Here?** The company will pay for and provide IPC A-610 certification. The average tenure of employees is 15+ years. **Work Environment** Employees work in a clean room environment and must wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and hair net. Employees cannot wear makeup, fake nails, or nail polish. Closed-toed shoes and pants are required. The company offers day shift and 2nd shift positions. A decent amount of overtime is required after training, including weekends.
