Quality Inspector

The EMS Group supports government customers, which include the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation as well as a range of commercial customers. Under general supervision this position is responsible for tracking and maintaining the calibration program at General Atomics San Diego location. Additionally responsible for inspecting parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures, and material to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality requirements. Maintains, processes, and updates confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records and statistics. **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Track, gather, submit, and receive calibrated tooling used by Quality and Production teams. + Inspects machined parts, components, assemblies and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI, and ASME + Code). + May observe testing and provide oversight, as necessary, to verify compliance with requirements. + May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. + Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. + Other duties as assigned or required.
