As a Quality Supervisor with PPG Aerospace, you will lead teams, provide technical expertise for complex issues, and ensure effective and efficient quality flow. This is a fully onsite position at our Sylmar, CA. facility. You will report to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve quality goals through accurate planning to meet schedules and deliver high quality products, which meet specificationsEnsure safe use of tools, equipment, and materials used within the quality department, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment to ensure safety of all employeesManage staff selection, performance and development processes to ensure team proficiencies and capabilities to reach goalsCoordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and quality sequences to maximize productivityIdentify and/or solve problems related to quality process/flow and provide quality reports to assist process improvementContribute to the development of processesSupervise daily activities of quality area to ensure that safety, volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved
Qualifications
US Citizen 2+ years of supervisory, lead or management experience in a Manufacturing or Quality environment with a bachelor's degree, but will consider experience additional years of experience in lieu of degreeCurrent holder of or willing to obtain a DoD security clearance with PPG support.Must have High School Diploma or equivalentUnderstanding of First Article inspections per AS9102 is idealUnderstanding of requirements for inspections and calibration in QualityMay need to work some weekends, minor variation in schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary#LI-OnsiteBase Salary Range $95,00-$110,000 plus annual bonusPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
