Job Description
General Overview
Leads the inspection team to meet objectives of the organization by developing, implementing and maintaining quality inspection systems and activities. Works in a fast-paced environment while effectively resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervise the team responsible for inspecting incoming materials, sub-assemblies, and finished product.Communicate quality requirements, concerns, and expectations. Ensure appropriate identification and flow down of internal and contractual quality requirements.Allocate resources and work assignments/ priorities to ensure an effective business rhythm; develop schedules and workforce requirements for incoming, in-process, and final inspection.Coordinate the recruitment, hiring, training, development, and performance assessment activities.Ensure all inspection-related activities are executed in a timely manner to achieve the production schedule and quality standards.Maintain orderly and organized inspection, and quarantine areas. Ensure accurate inspection documentation for all in-process, quarantined, and completed items.Develop, implement, and improve inspection processes and techniques to: (1) ensure all inspections are correctly documented and reported; (2) to drive efficiency and consistency in inspection results.Analyze inspection data to identify defect root causes; collaborate with subject matter experts to define best practices to reduce defects and drive quality improvements.Implement metrics as needed to evaluate process performance; actively address adverse trends.Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent. AS or BS in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline is a plus.10 years of quality inspection experience in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical inspection for an electronics manufacturer. Previous experience with military or aerospace hardware a plus.5 years of supervisory experience of teams of 5-10 people.Other Skills and Abilities:
Able to understand/interpret engineering prints and quality assurance standards.IPC Certification a plus -- J-STD 001, or IPC-610, or IPC-620Knowledge of ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems. AS9100 experience a plusKnowledge of ESD S20.20 and generally accepted good practice for ESD control.Experience in highly regulated industries such as Aerospace and/or Defense is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Position requires U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.
Salary Range:
$96,200.00-$128,300.000Pay Transparency
