Magnetic Seal has an opportunity for a Quality Inspection Intern to join our team! This will be an onsite internship in Warren, Rhode Island. Candidates will learn: - Introduction to GD&T, print interpretation and Inspection techniques. - Verify Customer, Industry, and Internal Inspection specifications. - Inspection gage usage such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMM, optical comparator, X-Ray, etc. - Introduction to quality at the source process through MCI and Roaming Inspections. - Learn the interaction between Manufacturing and Inspection Processes and understand how the manufacturing floor flows and operates. - Working with tight tolerances within .0005” - Lean and 6S methodology and input. - Introduction to AS9100 and the process within the Quality Management System. A typical day would be to support the throughput of parts at various Inspection checkpoints. There would be an introduction and training on each Inspection Operation. Basic Qualifications: - Currently enrolled and working towards a high school diploma within Machine Technology, Manufacturing, Machining or a similar program of study. - Must be a US citizen or a US permanent resident. - Must be local to the Rhode Island/Massachusetts area. - Regular and predictable attendance.
