The Quality/Innovation and Iowa Health and Wellness(IHAWP) Policy Manager is reponsible for the overall policies and administration of those programs based on state and federal agency regulations. This key position collaborates, coordinates and actively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to define and communicate program strategy and ensure activities meet contractual requirements as well as the performance objectives and outcomes. The Quality/Innovation and IHAWP Program Manager provides consultation and advice to the Medicaid program in full and is the subject matter expert for quality practices, IHAWP,Estate Recovery and Incarceration policies. The Quality/Innovation and IHAWP Policy Manager plans and coordinates the activities and strategies for the successful implementation and operation of their policies. This includes providing consultation, analysis and interpretation of federal and state rules, laws, regulation, and procedures related to Medicaid coverage and reimbursement. This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, and performance standards related to their policies and programs. Successful candidates will: + Have self-directed proven project management skill sets for complex/large scale initiatives. + Comprehend and apply state and federal code within the Medicaid program. + Understand and interpret federal and state requirements and process requirements pertaining to Medicaid managed care and the Fee-for-Service pharmacy program. + Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
