This includes direct responsibility for external quality, conducting audits, developing and implementing quality programs, analyzing data, and working with suppliers to improve quality. **In this role, a typical day will look like:** + Direct responsibility for external quality, working closely with operations and service teams to resolve issues + Conduct formalized audits as part of the auditing team, both internal and external, to drive continuous improvement efforts + Develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem-solving + Analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements. + Work cross-functionally with a variety of suppliers to qualify new designs and continuously improve supplier quality using proven techniques. **The essential requirements of the job include:** + Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technology-level diploma, along with experience in a similar role. + Experience with electrical/electronic commodities is highly preferred + ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ-CQE), or P.Eng – nice to have + Experience with ISO audits (ISO9001, ISO14001) + Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001) and appropriate tools, such as Six Sigma, Shainin Red X, etc. + Have basic knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting.
