No matter your role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference. SUMMARY A quality engineer for the 400S product line in Bayport cares about our customers, enjoys working on a high performing team of engineers/technicians, loves solving problems, and relentlessly improves processes and products.  You will work with quality, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, product development, and our suppliers to ensure that our products conform to standards and exceed our customers’ expectations.  You will have opportunities to grow both personally and professionally while having a lot of fun!  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide quality leadership for assigned value stream/product line(s), working cross-functionally to continuously improve quality and quality systemsEnsure conformance to control plans and capability to specifications, using statistical process control and data to identify special causes and reduce variationProvide reports and data on key metrics and lead targeted improvement effortsDrive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solvingPerform or assist with PPAP, gauge R&R, pFMEA, and process mapping on assigned product line(s)Qualify changes to product, process, equipment, and gauges, and assist with equipment troubleshootingTrain and coach associates on quality systems, specifications, and expectationsDevelop, improve, and evaluate test methods and associated instruments/gaugesPerform test wall failure investigations, write CAPAs and deviations, and make assessments of non-conforming material QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Quality, etc.,) Technology, or related fieldLoves to solve problems and continuously improveInquisitiveStrong Interpersonal and communication skillsMicrosoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiencyRoot cause analysis MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS BS degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fieldLoves to solve problems and continuously improveInquisitiveStrong Interpersonal and communication skillsMicrosoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environmentWorking knowledge of quality systems, standards, measurement tools, and inspection systems.Knowledge of pFMEA, SPC, CAPA, process capability and Lean manufacturing principlesLean or Six Sigma knowledge and practiceMinitab and PowerBI skillsASQ Quality Engineer certificationTime managementMechanical inclination   CULTURE AND BENEFITS:“Be Orange.
