Paige Electric, a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our Columbus, NE team!

As our Quality Technician, you'll apply a thorough, structured process to ensure that our wire and cable products meet the highest standards of quality.  You'll conduct process audits, develop work instructions, and perform product inspections for supplier components and finished products on the production floor. 

What you’ll do

Conduct audits of floor processes to ensure compliance with established standardsInterpret and verify assembly instructions for product accuracyPerform inspections using diverse methods, including visual checks, calipers, micrometers, and tape measuresAssist in the calibration of equipment used for quality verificationContribute to the development and documentation of Work InstructionsVerify incoming supplier components through Receiving InspectionConduct ISO 9001 process auditsManage the Corrective/Preventive Actions process, driving solutions to closure and addressing internal and external audit findings, customer issues, and system weaknessesCollaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issuesOversee the manufacturing process to ensure alignment with engineering documentation and manufacturing methodsPerform testing on new products as requiredUndertake additional duties as assigned

 

What you’ll bring

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is essentialProficiency reading and comprehending written instructions and blueprints, with ability to present information effectivelyFamiliarity with the calibration processDemonstrated familiarity with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience with ISO 9001 auditing or other certification processes (e.g., IATF 16949)Ability to work independently and show initiativeExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of facility personnel, customers, and suppliersMathematical proficiency, capable of performing calculations in both English and Metric unitsAbility to understand and follow instructions in various formats (written, oral, diagram)
