Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings, including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System. In our Centre of Excellence in Witney, we design, develop and manufacture test strips and biosensors which are used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to manufacturing and innovation in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we have a fantastic opportunity for Quality Engineer in Calibration to join our expanding highly skilled team. **As a Quality Specialist, you will:** + Ensure compliance with site and divisional policies and procedures. + Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for audits, cross-functional meetings, and projects. + Identify, develop, and implement improvement activities for ADC quality systems in Document Control, Final Release, Calibration, and Training. + Ensure all communications and behaviours align with ADC core values and the Abbott Code of Conduct. + Check and ensure compliance with the ADC quality system, good manufacturing practices, and regulatory requirements. + Liaise with other departments as needed. + Assist in projects to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality system and product quality. + Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Abbott standards. + Maintain training records and adhere to company policies and procedures. + Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in line with 5S principles. **Key Responsibilities:** + Document Control: Manage document changes, parts changes, and training in Agile. Ensure records are maintained and accurate. + Final Release Group: Review batch records, compile Device History Records, and approve in-process products and finished goods. + Calibration: Perform internal and external calibrations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. + Training: Create and control ISO train curricula, plan site mandatory training, and manage the training system. + Technical QA: Review and approve System Change Requests, Configuration Management requests, and Engineering Changes. Maintain logs and update the Site Validation Master Plan.
