Job Title: Quality/Test Engineer 4
Job Description

The main function of a Quality Engineer is to research and test the design functionality and maintenance of products, equipment systems, and processes, while developing quality standards. A typical Quality Engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and standards.

ResponsibilitiesReview and approve sampling procedures, and design forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.Review and supervise programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing measurement, analytical equipment, and facilities.Conduct training sessions on quality control activities.Specialize in areas of quality control engineering such as design, incoming material process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing software research and development, and administrative application.Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.Plan and direct activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.Manage quality control program.Essential SkillsCreativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.Team player and detail-oriented.Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.Experience with computer applications and software related to engineering, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering required.8-10 years experience in quality engineering.Proficiency in general computer usage and specific software like ETQ.Ability to work with sister facilities, especially across five production sites.Competence in communicating and resolving quality issues with sister companies.Experience in working with diverse teams and individuals.Technical degree, preferably in manufacturing, design, or mechanical fields.General manufacturing experience is valuable.ASQ certified quality analyst certification is a plus and can be considered as an alternative to a bachelor's degree.Work Environment

The work environment requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a wide range of people across multiple production sites. The role involves working with various technologies and software, necessitating a proficiency in computer applications pertinent to the engineering field.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
