Job Summary
The Quality Control Technician III is responsible for providing impeccable support to the Production Team. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service, and cost are the highest priorities. The Quality Control Technician will perform various quality systems and testing activities for manufacturing operations, including raw material certificate of analysis reviews, finished product testing, quality audits, plant trial testing & analysis, quality lab maintenance, and organization.

Essential Duties

Review real-time product quality on a consistent basisGenerate timely, consistent reports to ensure quality specifications are metPerform physical property tests on finished productsCommunicate effectively with production operators and leadersAudit lab and manufacturing processesEvaluate whether to reject or pass finished roofing products, manufactured warehouse items and other plant productions by observing samplesAssist and support the Process & Quality Engineer with projects as neededOrder routine lab supplies through approved processes and approvalsMaintain lab calibrations and documentationAssure all activities are performed safelyParticipate in new material trials in coordination with R&DVerify and inspect incoming raw materials for complianceEnsure site adherence to raw material and finished product specificationsMake necessary adjustments by notifying the lead and/or manager and re-testing the productMaintain housekeeping with consistent lab and facility maintenanceAdditional projects and tasks may be assigned as business needs requireManage out-of-spec raw material or finished goods both physically and electronically

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)2+ years of quality experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment OR 3 years of polyiso manufacturing experience

Experience supporting production and business goalsDemonstrated experience as a lab technician in a manufacturing environment is preferredForklift experience is preferredDemonstrated intermediate communication skills and MS Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Programs.
