What is the Opportunity?
The Quality Control (QC) function is key to the overall success of the Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) Office at the Bank. The Quality Control Review (QCR) process evaluates Regulatory Issue Closure Packages throughout the Regulatory Issue Remediation Lifecycle to ensure that evidence/artifacts submitted demonstrating remediation are consistent with the commitments made by management.
The QC team works with stakeholders to ensure all necessary artifacts are gathered, review provided documentation to ensure completeness (no missing deliverables/artifacts), organization (closure package submission requirements are followed), and uniformity (proper use of standard GRC Closure templates), and support finalization of Regulatory Issue Closure Packages for ultimate delivery to Internal Audit and/or regulators.
The GRC Quality Control Supervisor is a key strategic and integral role for the overall success of the GRC. This role is responsible for overseeing, coordinating and operationalizing the Quality Control function, including, but not limited to: setting the standards for the packaging of Regulatory Issue remediation evidence, developing and maintaining QCR processes, and ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and thoroughness of all QC deliverables and outputs.
What will you do?
Responsible for performing and leading teams to conduct Quality Control Reviews (QCR) of Regulatory Issue remediation artifacts, including but not limited to; reviewing, challenging, and verifying the completeness, organization, and uniformity of evidence supporting management’s commitments
Responsible for implementing end-to-end processes and procedures for the QC function and QCR of Closure Packages
Develops and implements processes, tools and technologies that drive regulatory matter remediation quality control. Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of governance, risk and control related assignments.
Accountable to support development of, and execute against, a detailed Quality Control plan, escalating risks, concerns, and roadblocks appropriately
Promote effective Quality Control (QC) awareness across all Lines of Business and the Three Lines of Defense through maintaining positive and collaborative relations with business executives and structured interactions with key stakeholders to discuss critical QCR outputs, and provide and solicit feedback.
Manage Quality Control activities related to regulatory submissions, including document approval and release
Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technology, tools, and templates that support Quality Control and reporting capabilities
Supports a high-performance environment by fostering an inclusive work environment, mentoring/coaching staff members, and enabling opportunities for them achieve development goals
Engages in supervisory duties and performance management
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of financial services / regulatory remediation work experience
Leadership experience preferred
