Your Role:

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the site's quality control activities and ensuring objectives are met. Their primary role involves performing tasks that support QC processes to verify that all products released for sale meet the required specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the supervisor will uphold high standards for housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance. They will also promote employee engagement and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor is accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and delegating authority to direct reports to ensure these goals are met. Specific responsibilities include:

Provide supervision of the Quality Control department which is responsible for testing and release of raw materials, supporting manufacturing by providing timely results of in-process testing, and conducting final release testingAuthority to releases finished goodsSupporting efforts to ensure the laboratory is compliant with regulatory requirements including oversight of the training program for QC personnel, maintenance and calibration of instrumentationSchedules and coordinates daily work load for laboratory analysts ensuring efficient use of resources with minimum product turnaround timesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, technical and non-technical, at local, regional and global levelsWorks cooperatively and effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals and resultsPerform risk assessments and understand how to approach and complete tasks, avoiding serious delays and consideration of expenditure of time and resources with proactive communicationIdentifies areas for improvement and take action to undertake them through leadership and delegation to other members of the departmentReview of analytical data produced, and maintain accurate and concise recordsDirect management of analytical investigations and testing of intermediate and finished goodsMay perform routine and non-routine tests as required to include visual and color evaluationUtilize Visual acuity / normal color vision

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or other life sciences disciplines 3+ years of experience working in analytical chemistry following laboratory procedures

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing environmentKnowledge in working in SAPExperience in Lean and Six Sigma
