Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Control Manager responsible for the production quality of all military landing systems produced within the Fort Worth business element. You will be responsible for assembly conformity and customer satisfaction in support of the value stream team. You will also oversee compliance with customer contracts, regulatory requirements, and the Collins Quality Management System. In addition, you will be responsible for leading change and collaboration within the quality team and other functional organizations within Fort Worth site.

What You Will Do

Develop and manage plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of quality targetsLead and implement projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improvingDrive quality improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Scrap Repair & Rework (SRR) and escapesDevelop and implement operations quality plans and proceduresEstablish, oversee, and administer processes, policies, and best practices, and determines resource requirements, acquisition, improvement plans, and quality measuresDirectly oversee and manage daily assignments for Quality Control personnel in alignment with weekly/monthly business commitmentsLead the team to meet company targets and ensure work is done in accordance with design builds and understand root cause when targets are not metInterface with various business functions such as Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Human Resource, and Materials to achieve business goals and company objectivesResponsible for making significant improvement of inspection processes, systems, and methods to enhance the performance of qualityDrive productivity and continuous improvement initiatives to improve process efficiencyDrive employee engagement culture of respect, empowerment, communication, and teamwork Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments to ensure team stability and business continuityCommunicate, educate, train, and coach internal personnel regarding Quality policies, processes, and proceduresProvides cross-functional Quality technical expertise, and prepare and present departmental metrics

What You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 5 or more years of experience within AS9100 regulated integration/assembly quality environment.5 or more years of experience in a leadership role5 or more years of experience engaging directly with customer source inspection and/or supporting customers in fielded operations5 or more years of experience in assembly/test final inspection

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
