Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team. This role is a backfill position to replace a current employee who recently left the project. The project is a $30 million federal project under the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and involves heavy HVAC work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality control aspects of the project, which is located on a military base and is expected to last between 3-4 years. Candidates can be based anywhere in the country but must be open to travel and relocation as required.
ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee quality control for HVAC systems during the middle and closing stages of the project.Ensure compliance with USACE or NAVFAC standards and requirements.Coordinate and conduct quality inspections and audits.Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports.Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.Monitor and enforce safety regulations and OSHA 30 standards.Manage budgeting, scheduling, and project execution on the federal contracting side.Essential Skills7-10+ years of Federal General Contractor Project Manager/Quality Control Manager experience.3+ years of General Contractor construction experience with USACE or NAVFAC as a Project Manager/Quality Control Manager, specifically in HVAC quality and controls.Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and running projects on the federal contracting side.Strong knowledge of USACE and NAVFAC standards and requirements.Proficiency in quality control management and documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsCQC certificationOSHA 30 certificationExperience working on military base projectsStrong communication and collaboration skillsWork Environment
This project is located at a military base and involves heavy HVAC work. Candidates must be open to travel and relocation as required. The position offers a per diem for candidates who choose to relocate for the project. The work environment will require adherence to strict safety standards, including OSHA 30 regulations. The project duration is expected to be 3-4 years, and it involves both interior work and some ground-up construction.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.00/hr.
