POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the quality control plans, coordinating all project testing, inspections with the site team, while continuously improving the program through the full life cycle of the project.
What you’ll do:
Manage and document inspections for jurisdictional, contract compliance and 3rd party requirements, document management of inspection set of drawings and individual tests leading up to final inspection, coordinate jurisdictional visits with trade superintendents, include required and appropriate documentation in programs (such as BIM360 Field) for testing documentation Maintain certifications for qualified individuals and continuity logs verify work being done in accordance with qualified procedures and individuals. Ensure that all materials and construction are in accordance with the requirements for the completeness, accuracy and constructability in accordance with applicable building codes and project specifications Participate in progress and QC meetings. Review contract drawings and identify areas/scopes where items need addressed to confirm install scope is in alignment with CD’s. Verify RFI’s and/or submittals cover any differences. Perform Level 1 factory witness tests as necessary to identify and document deficiencies in quality prior to shipment to the site. Provide summary visit information and documentation to communicate status of equipment and premanufactured scopes of work. Verify equipment and systems installed comply with appropriate install details, requirements manufacture and/or contract drawings, completeness and quality. Develop list of items that need corrected with Trade Superintendents and/or Shop Managers. Track and oversee items on list to completion. Perform Level 2 installation inspections documenting equipment as received and as set in place (ready for energization). Work through resolution of owner punch items relating to install scope quality with Trade Superintendents, Shop Managers, and other team members.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in progressive quality control roles preferred Minimum 2 years’ people management preferred Strong understanding and experience in Lean construction/manufacturing Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and project management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects Advanced customer service skills Strong negotiation and presentation skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite—Excel and Word and Bluebeam
