This critical role is responsible for performing visual/dimensional/functional inspections on incoming raw materials, sub-components, implants, and instruments to determine compliance to specifications.
What will you be doing
Inspect raw materials, sub-components, implants, and instruments per applicable inspection plans and engineering drawings
Perform variable data inspections using Keyence Vision Systems, micrometers, depth gages, depth gages, height gages, and comparators
Perform attribute data inspections using gage pins/ring gages, overlays, functional gages, and thread gages
Review supplier certifications and inspection data
Identify and process non-conformances in SmartSolve
Support department and organizational objectives
Represent and promote quality standards
Perform other quality functions as required
What will you need to be successful
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in related field and/or inspecting product per inspection procedures/drawings and to print specifications
Prior experience with medical devices is a plus
Experience with inspection tools including micrometers, microscopes, pin gauges, calipers, and overlays is required
Optical Comparator and Vision System (Keyence) operation experience is preferred
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/ specifications, and technical data
Expertise to perform precise measurements and calculations
Understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Must possess good documentation skills to maintain neat and accurate records
Must have good communication skills and be able to relay inspection results in a clear manner
Experience using MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel required
ASQ CQI certification a plus
Travel Requirements: up to 5%
