The Quality Auditor (QA) conducts auditing functions and quality assurance inspections throughout the Distribution Center for the purposes of improving quality, customer satisfaction, and process adherence. The QA is responsible for driving internal and external quality results by auditing, documenting, coaching, and training to drive behavior change and influence a focus on quality excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conducts all auditing and quality assurance functions in the DC, must maintain a strong knowledge of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
· Collect, analyze and document quality discrepancies, inventory adjustments, packaging opportunities, and other issues. Utilize data and knowledge of the distribution center processes to determine solutions for preventing future discrepancies
· Works closely with Inventory Control Clerk to resolve inventory discrepancies, keys and documents inventory adjustments when necessary
· Works closely with Leads, Supervisors, and others to investigate and root-cause quality issues
· Tracks quality trends throughout the DC and reports to DC Leadership
· Meet or exceed Quality KPIs as set by leadership – such as auditing 2% of daily lines
· Participates in quality-related projects and meetings to drive a better customer experience
· Frequently approaches team members to discuss quality errors; coaches and trains team to drive better SOP adherence
· Completes coordinated 2nd inventory counts based on auditing criteria to ensure accuracy
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of Quality processes within the DC
· Performs additional duties as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. individually, and 75 lbs. with a team lift
· Must be able to stand/walk for full 8- to 9-hour shifts
· Must be able to tolerate heights up to 26 feet
· Must be willing to operate power equipment as duties require (after completion of internal power equipment training based off regulatory standards)
Preferred (Top Candidates Will Have):
· Previous Distribution or Auditor experience, and have familiarity with Quality terminology and processes
· Experience using Personal Computer and software programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, AS400, WMS, Microsoft PowerApps & PowerBI
· Strong attention to detail and understanding of accuracy standards
· Experience using handheld barcode scanners (RF scanner)
· Ability to root-cause identified issues and execute innovative problem-solving techniques
· Takes initiative and has the ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to work with sensitive information and use discretion
· Ability to collaborate with Warehouse team members and leadership during re-work of a part, cycle counts and other quality functions
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for the purposes of tactfully providing coaching on quality errors
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Standard warehouse/distribution center environment
· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required based on site policies, including safety- or steel-toe shoes/boots, long pants that cover the entire leg, and company-approved safety eyewear
· Operational schedule varies based on shift and location – standard shifts are 8-hours in length
· During peak operational periods, overtime may be required, including weekends
