Responsibilities:
-Inspect ingredients, raw materials, and finished products for conformance to specifications and food safety requirements
-Perform sanitation effectiveness inspections and monitor good manufacturing practices
-Accurately collect and document data related to product quality and safety
-Report any quality or safety issues to the FSQA Supervisor and Manager
-Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance
-Conduct testing to verify product specifications such as moisture, pH, water activity
-Calibrate and verify the accuracy of equipment like thermometers, scales, and metal detectors
-Collect and prepare retention samples
-Perform sensory evaluations of products during quality reviews
-Assist with FSQA projects and coverage of shifts as needed
Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Skills:
-Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
-Good math skills
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED
-6 months to 1 year of food processing quality assurance experience or equivalent
-Knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, BRC/SQF, GMP requirements, and good sanitation practices
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-Effective verbal and written communication abilities
-Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout shift
- Ability to work around allergens of all types
-Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and walkways
