Quality Assurance Technician
Quality Assurance Technician - Winter Haven, FL
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

MAIN FUNCTION:
The Quality Assurance Technician will support the implementation and enforcement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System requirements throughout all of the manufacturing process in order to ensure compliance with company policies, FDA cGMP, and industry standards.

Perform Risk Based Quality, Layered Audits based on:

First Pass Quality Deviation, RejectionsEMP testing and related GMP practicesCustomer complaint data (cap seal / torque, box seals, labels, leaking containers)Foreign material risks (Glass, plastic, wood, gasket material, etc.)Weigh complianceFormulation Compliance (staging, order of addition, etc.)Calibration Compliance (Torque wrenches, scales, etc.)Weight Verification and Label complianceValidation of CCPs and OPRPsGMP, Allergen, G&BP program auditsJob cycle checkSupports QC Manager in Cross Functional InitiativesAudit for implementation and sustainment of CAPAsProvide interface with operators during MOC validationsMonitoring of GMPs during MOC, Construction, etc.EMP swabbing and trackingFS&Q Skills Validation support to operationsEscalate issues to QC ManagerLabeling complianceContainer ComplianceGMP supportGMP InspectionsDaily GMP WalkthroughWeekly/Monthly Glass and Brittle Plastics InspectionsOther tasks as assigned by the Quality Control ManagerSchedule is 8am-5pm, M-F. Schedule may include additional time as needed and approved by management.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry or related Science field with some laboratory experience, or 3 years prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience.Computer skills; Word, Excel, Outlook.Knowledge of laboratory procedures.Good problem solving, communication and interpersonal skillsFocus on Food Safety and Customer/Consumer needs in all aspects of work.Completes Deviation/Rejection investigations to determine actual Root Causes.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining Quality requirements.Encourages Trust between Operations and Quality.   Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
