Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) located in the Quality Assurance (QA) Department (Code 130) at the Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) Capodichino, Naples, Italy. Responsibilities You will perform reviews and approves contractor submitted procedures ensuring all technical and quality requirements are met in a manner supporting the maintenance team's production schedule. You will coordinate the resolution of quality issues between the Government and the Contractor's Upper-Management. You will research and implement the latest developments in Quality Assurance (QA) by reviewing the latest technical directives. You will interpret industry and Government standards for quality requirements and provisions in reference to NAVSEA Standard Items and Work Specifications. You will provide technical guidance for preparation, implementation, and recording of results of surveillance inspection plans for the Quality Assurance Division. You will perform and assist in Quality, NDT and metal Joining program related audits. You will provide support to Assistant Officer/Officer in Charge/Repair Director, determining the current status of all production work assigned to FDRMC DET for contract administration. Certified training and experience in shipboard preservation. Must be sufficiently qualified to become a NAVSEA Certified Navy Basic Paint Inspector or equivalent. 7. Must be able to obtain and maintain a government passport. 8. Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) workforce development training.
