The Patient Safety Consultant is responsible for the implementation of the internal Patient Safety program of improved quality outcomes and improved control of loss prevention according to the guidelines of federal, state and regional legal requirements. Promotes and maintains cooperative relationships with Hospital Administrative personnel relative to incident reports pertinent and potential liability claims. Works in conjunction with legal counsel to investigate potential lawsuits, obtain requested information, and participate as needed in litigation proceedings.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree BSN, Insurance, Risk Management, Law, Business or related field and/or Healthcare Administration. Or equivalent educ/experience. Or a combination of education and directly related work experience. upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License. 5 years Progressively responsible professional experience, which should include a basic background in medical terminology and physiology, as well as experience with acute care medical facilities.Why Join Providence?
