Quality Assurance Lead

A QA Lead reports to a QA Manager. Works closely with QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, project managers, designers, and developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered throughout the account. A QA Lead supports the QA Manager on many tasks and provides leadership and career development to the team members. 

 

 

You will:

Responsible for the supervision of the QA team members directly assigned to them and accountable for following up on their performance and projects.  Responsible for promoting effective communication, participation, and involvement amongst QA members.  Responsible for planning, conducting, technically directing, and maintaining the required level of quality expected by the account/client.  Responsible for overseeing QA members’ tasks of their assigned projects and escalating when needed.  Responsible for attending, leading, and/or organizing meetings on behalf of the team  Responsible for promoting QA values and principles for the QA team, everyone in the company, and our clients.  Responsible for promoting a team-oriented and collaborative environment among all the team members  Responsible for promoting a positive environment and motivating the team.  Responsible for communicating test results and escalating issues and risks by following a correct escalation path.  Overseeing test data identification  Creating, co-creating, and overseeing test plans and managing different testing suites.  Writing and maintaining test cases/scripts  Responsible for creating QA estimations  Create and oversee traceability matrix documents based on project requirements.  Create  and oversee checklist documentation based on project requirements  Provide support on functional and non-functional testing when necessary  Develop test design documents to cover requirements  Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional, system, and technical specifications  Apply industry-standard testing methodology, strategies, and industry best practices  Create and oversee defect tickets and track issues to resolution and risk analysis of said issues  Report creation and related metrics at different levels  Overseeing, delegating,g and coordinating work with other QA Associates and apprentices.  Mentoring staff members and act as a career developer  Responsible for assisting the Talent department in the selection/interviewing of new QA team members.  Creating, overseeing, and executing regression tests based on design specifications and requirements   Conducting research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks related to QA  Responsible for identifying areas of improvement, including automation tools, and proactively identifying potential areas of risks within the project.

 

You have:

English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation) 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Working experience with Javascript Working experience with automation tools like AccelQ, or another similar (Playwright, Cypress). Working knowledge CI/CD (Jenkins) Extensive experience in leading QA and cross-funtional teams and technical projects Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for software development Experience working with local and offshore teams Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similar Extensive knowledge of Windows or MacOS software ISTQB Certification or other QA related certifications Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe illustrador Knowledge of collaboration and issue-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
