Quality Assurance Engineer
Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer based in our Cleveland, TN plant.
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for investigating, planning, designing and implementing improvements in our information systems and quality management systems. These applications will directly affect processes and productivity with the result of producing a better-quality product more efficiently. This position supports multiple manufacturing plants and all systems under the responsibility of this employee are used to govern shop floor quality systems as well as related engineering support systems.
Essential Duties:
• Provide focused quality engineering support and assume responsibility for timely and effective coordination and/or execution of assigned project activities.
• Create programs and applications using Database & Web based tools to store, retrieve, display, analyze and communicate critical production, process, quality and system data.
• Provide Full Stack Support and Improvement of all current QA database systems, including software and hardware, relating to these areas.
• Utilize MTConnect communication standards to track and report on key process performance areas.
• Develop dashboards in SSRS
• Utilize Python, ASP.Net (C#), JavaScript (VueJS), MS SQL Server,T-SQL to develop and maintain Quality systems.
• Able to learn and develop systems in MS Sharepoint, SSRS, and Nintex Workflows.
• Q Git, ASP.Net (C#), JavaScript helpful but not necessary
• Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving project, product and process issues.
• Ability to perform basic data analysis using Minitab or similar platform to provide data driven solutions
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills:
• Ability to learn proprietary programming environment (Xalt), Power Apps, SQL, HTML, ASP.Net (C#), Python, CAD systems, MTConnect, digital logic systems
• Ability to learn basic electrical engineering skills (PLC, Wiring, etc.) supporting Maintenance & Manufacturing are required.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Required Experience:
4+ years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in the discipline/technology/process related to the position including experience as a team member on project teams in a cross functional environment.
