Makes recommendations to improve productivity quality cost and efficiency of operations Works with Engineering Operations and Business Management to ensure cost reduction quality and delivery to customers on existing and new products
Key Performance Areas
Establish and set goals / metrics for quality and supply chain functions
Assist with the development of business metrics
Establish plan to meet the quality and supply chain goals and targets including facilitating cross functional teams to participate in the quality planning process
Champion Lean and Continuous Improvement projects and strategy
Supervise Quality Engineering Lead Auditor and Buyers / Purchasing Associates
Ensure the companys compliance to ISO 9001 TL 9000 and support compliance to ISO 14001 Standards
Administer new product introduction process
Travel to customer / supplier locations to ensure that systemic requirements are implemented and corrective action plans are sustained
Track and analyze Cost of Quality to ensure that divisional and corporate targets are met
Conduct Kaizens and Small Group Activities with cross functional groups including suppliers to reduce costs and improve processes
Oversees selection of vendors and purchasing of materials Responsible for negotiating and maintaining supply contracts
Responsible for managing the Supplier Scorecards and ensuring metrics are met
Works with supply chain partners to ensure quality cost reduction and delivery metrics are met / exceeded
Some Travel including overseas is required

Knowledge and experience with problem solving and process improvement techniques eg Root Cause Analysis Analytical Trouble Shooting Lean Manufacturing Failure Mode Effects Analysis FMEA

Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Technical Field
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
SAP applications and preferably Sage x3
Commercial experience ie selling and/or buying in a technical environment
Minimum of five 5 years supervisory/leadership experience with engineering staff
Experience directly interfacing and working with customers contract manufacturers and components raw material and OEM suppliers
Familiar with a variety of the Quality and Supply Chain fields concepts practices and procedures
Experience in working with customers suppliers and contract manufacturers
Experience managing budgetary responsibilities
Salary Market related based on qualifications and experience
