The Ford Quality Team is responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts that enable Ford to deliver the highest quality products and services. **In this position...** Interface with Vehicle Operations (VO) Customers and production departments, to address quality issues, internal Quality Operating System (QOS) adherence, root cause analyses, closure of 8D’s, chargeback information, as well as coordinate part sorts and some supplier visits. Work cross functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing and Supplier Technical Assistant. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career and help us define tomorrow’s transportation. **What you'll do...** + Coordinate containment actions, dock holds, and special checks, to eliminate any impact to customer. during quality concerns. + Prepare standard reports for Quality reviews, within the plant and with other areas. + Review rejected parts for quality integrity and decide next steps. Issue daily Incoming Quality report. + Lead/Support 8D resolution of concerns that are supplier Quality issues. + Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including Machining, Production and Suppliers + Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. + Liaise with Tier1 Suppliers on their part supplier quality concerns. + Make quality calls that are in line with the customer acceptance level. + Raise quality concerns into GSAR QR Systems + Pull part drawing / CAD, to check suspect parts against specification. + Raise Concern Reports for all concerns and follow up until closure with G8D's based on data. + Review and analyze Supplier 8D reports. + Work with suppliers, to arrange shipment of defective/suspect parts back to them if needed. + Co-ordinate part sorting in plant. + Manage all 3rd party sorting action and send daily reports on status. + Track all ageing part concerns - 30 days and more. + Managing parts sorting process, for defects, until supplier arrives at Ford, to take over sorting function + Managing any conflicts between affected parties. + Decision making on liability of defect. + Effective managing of suspect parts to protect customer. + Managing of Quality reports, tracking and binning. + Visit and coach production departments and suppliers if needed. **You'll have...** + High School Diploma · + 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering · + Ability to work all shifts, rotating shifts or weekends, should the need arise + Ability to travel **Even better, you may have...** + Bachelor’s degree in related field of Quality + Previous Incoming Quality Supervision · + Previous automotive and quality analysis experience + Demonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectives · + Proven problem-solving ability · + Microsoft Office Knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
