The successful candidate will join the Honeywell SATCOM organization as a Qualification Test Engineer II. In this role, the primary responsibility will be to support the Hardware Qualification test cycle of our SATCOM products from the design phase through to production test implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nHardware test execution in accordance with industry standards (such as RTCA/DO-160)\nProduce required documentation (plans, procedures, reports) & perform testing to certify that the SATCOM products have met all of its regulatory compliance requirements.\nSupport test readiness and associated reviews\nCoordinate third party organizations that are contracted to perform regulatory compliance functions for SATCOM products.\nTest Data Review, Root Cause and Corrective Action of failures\nReporting to team lead and/or management on project specific metrics/status\n\n

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

\nYOU MUST HAVE\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Systems Engineering or Computer Science / IT\nMinimum 2 years engineering experience with SATCOM/Avionics products.\nMinimum 2 years experience with Aerospace/SATCOM/Telecom Qualification development projects (such as DO-160, Boeing, Airbus, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810, ETSI, CSA, FCC, Industry Canada)\nMinimum 2 years writing qualification test plans, test procedures, and test reports\nAbility to travel up to 25% of time, typically less than 10% (and able to travel to the USA)\n\n

 

\nWE VALUE\n\nHands-on experience with RF Test Equipment - spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters and Noise figure analyzers, etc.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nPrior experience executing qualification/regulatory testing to industry standards (such as • GR-1089, ETSI-300 series, CISPR)\nPrior experience working with engineering test laboratories\nDynamic thinker, able to quickly assess problems and find solutions to them\nParticipate in multi-disciplinary teams across many functions including process development\nHands-on experience with Computer Networking, BER Testers, Routers, Switches, LabVIEW, TestStand\n\n
