Areas of Responsibility:
Administer medications. Document all medications administered after administering. Perform various treatments not requiring licensed nurse such as hot/cold applications, vital signs, weights etc. Observe, record and report observations. Monitor for medication effects, withhold when effects are observed. Take vitals prior to administration on certain medications. Report incidents to Charge Nurse. Adheres to Safety and Infection Control Policies and Procedures and practice universal precautions. Communicate with residents and staff in an understandable, honest and caring manner. Must be able to safely perform all essential job functions. Must maintain unit and work area in clean and safe manner. Perform other tasks as required.Qualifications and Experience:
QMA Certificate in good standing on file with the Indiana State Department of Health CNA Certification must be current and in good standing with the Indiana Nursing Assistant Registry CPR Card required Demonstrated compassion for Seniors and their families. Experience working in a long-term care setting preferred. Ability to administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures. Desire and ability to work productively as part of a team to provide Excellent Customer and Clinical Services. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to lift, move and turn residents, push/pull medication cart weighing 300 pounds a distance of 600 feet.Who We Are:
