QC Supervisor
We are looking for a **QC Supervisor** to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location! **Your Responsibilities:** The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and will play an integral role in the **Quality Assurance** organization providing supervision of the **Quality Control Inspection workforce** . This individual will work collaboratively with operation, engineering, program managers, and both hourly and salaried workforces to ensure the continued high manufacturing and production standards Curtiss Wright EMD has been known for over the last 70 years! **We Take Care of Our People:** Paid Time Off **I** 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing **I** Health and Wellness Benefits **I** Learning and Development Opportunities **I** Referral Program **I** Competitive Pay **I** Recognition **I** Employee Stock Purchase Plan (https://curtisswright.com/investor-relations/overview/default.aspx) **I** Inclusive & Supportive Culture (https://careers.curtisswright.com/en/who-we-are/) **Your Challenge:** + **Supervise Union represented** **inspection workforce** that are ANSI qualified Inspectors. + **Must have a Quality mentality used in either a Manufacturing / Machine Shop / or related Heavy Industry** + **Oversee methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating production processes and finished products** + Role will be responsible for managing receiving inspection group **to meet production demands and revenue goals** + Position will interpret and administer labor agreements + **Maintain records** including labor activities, personnel qualifications, attendance, skills inventory, training and development, shop performance + Engage with other departments, customers, and suppliers to **investigate and resolve quality issues** . + Train personnel, and apply procedures to effectively implement the Quality Management System + Will be responsible for **planning and meeting annual budget of supervised group** . + **Manage quality control of manufacturing and production processes** by planning, reviewing and implementing any needed actions. + Position will be involved with implementing cross-training program so personnel in multiple areas to assist workforce proficiency and flexibility. + **Schedule and coordinate inspector assignments to ensure adequate coverage** for factory work communicate that to Operations. This will be based on production schedules and the available resources. This activity includes scheduling any requested PTO or overtime. + Must be comfortable representing Quality Control at production, project, and operations meetings + Be willing to regularly meet with on-site customers **What you Bring:** + **Minimum 4 years of direct Quality experience in a manufacturing or machine shop related environment** + Demonstrated ability to function in a manufacturing environment with a unionized workforce + **Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and routings** + Previous Quality work in Shipping and Receiving is desired. + Must have strong communication skills both verbally and written. + Ability to direct others and manage conflict + Should have a **working knowledge of ERP systems** , preferably Oracle + Candidates will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Quality or similar Engineering discipline (will consider related experience and training like Journeyman’s papers as well). + Due to nature of our work candidates must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance \#LI-MO1 **Who we are:** Our Values (https://www.curtisswright.com/company/sustainability/core-values/default.aspx) Environmental, Social and Governance EMD a business unit of Curtiss-Wright in Cheswick, PA designs, manufactures, tests, and provides after-market support for the most advanced, proven and reliable critical function pumps, motors, generators, seals, control rod drive mechanisms and power conditioning electronics available anywhere in the world today.
