QC Chemist
Actalent
Our client is seeking a QC chemist to assist with testing for an incoming influx of products.
Description
- Performs wet analyses and physical testing of in-process chemical samples using documented standard techniques; samples range from raw materials, to finish DEET products.
- Performs, with confidence, testing utilizing the following instruments: HPLC, GC, Flame AA, KF, Viscometers and Titrations.
- Interprets, computes, records and reports all test data to production and other appropriate personnel with the use of LabWorks. Alerts production and quality management when suspect test data or other deviations from the norm are encountered.
- Calibrates QC analytical equipment as instructed by lab management.
- Prepares laboratory reagents, standards, and mobile phases as instructed by lab management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Four year degree required - preferably Chemistry or other Science degree.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in the following: GC, HPLC, Titrations - manual and automated, Refractive Index, Specific Gravity, Viscometers

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00
