Provides quality engineering support to enable improvement of processes and equipment
+ Provide key quality/service and improved capability/capacity.
+ Provides leadership in problem solving, and technical expertise to ensure timely resolution of issues
+ Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
+ Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
+ Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
+ Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
+ Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
+ Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
+ May also be responsible for the unit's Performance Excellence (Six-Sigma) project portfolio, assuring the effective use of different improvement methodologies (DMAIC, Lean, DESGN, etc.) toward the achievement of division or plant strategic goals.
+ Coach belts and managers in project selection and implementation; and advise division/plant management and leaders on the use of Quality tools, methods and processes.
+ Follows standard practices and procedure in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
+ Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
+ Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
+ Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies.
+ Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules.
+ Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
+ Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with the integrity of manufactured products and processes from an engineering standpoint, esp. design specifications, testing procedures, and minimum quality standards.
+ B.S. or equivalent technical degree
+ TRAINING ALIGNED WITH MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING INSTITUTE LEARNING JOURNEY
+ Statistical training through Design of Experiments (DOE)
+ Lead teams with clear and significant, demonstrable financial impact
+ Demonstrated ability to permanently solve difficult manufacturing issues (crises or chronic)
+ Lead new process/ product/ innovation project(s)
+ Knowledge sharing across division - e.g. core technologist
+ Basic understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and drivers
+ Advanced degree in Engineering or applied science
+ Plant experience
+ Experience in process engineering
+ Experience across multiple divisions, functions
+ Global experience
