QA/QC Construction Inspector
Insight Global is hiring a Construction Quality Control Officer in Homestead, FL for one of our engineering and construction customers. This person will report to the QA/QC Manager; responsible for reviewing specs and project plan set, going to project site to conduct inspections as needed. Will be initially supporting a electrical bus system project for MDC. Responsibilities include quality control, inspecting materials, reviewing documents, maintaining records, and collaborating with teams on quality issues. This position will ensure full compliance of project plans, specifications, special provisions, shop drawings and RFIs. Requires the ability to visit and inspect an active construction site that will require walking over uneven surfaces and climbing stairs. The understanding of Florida Building Code and compliance of permit requirements with the ability to observe that field inspectors are documenting all discrepancies and non-compliance to construction documents. The role also involves assisting in project planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
· Inspecting Materials and Workmanship: Inspect materials and workmanship, conduct tests, and ensure compliance with standards.
· Reviewing Documents: Interpret construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and ensure activities follow approved plans.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records, document deviations, prepare reports, and communicate findings.
· Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teams, provide guidance, and participate in testing and commissioning.
· Enforcing Quality Standards: Ensure adherence to quality procedures, address issues, and recommend corrective actions.
· Other Duties: Develop quality control plans, participate in training, and stay updated on industry standards.
· Project Planning & Execution: Assist in developing and updating plans, monitor progress, manage work packages, and handle smaller workstreams.
· Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and implement risk management strategies.
· Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Prepare reports, maintain stakeholder relationships, and support communication plans.
· Financial & Resource Management: Monitor budgets, assist in procurement, and ensure financial integrity.
· Other Responsibilities: Maintain documentation, provide quality assurance, support personnel management, and prepare reports.
