MRI Software looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible to assess software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and manual test scripts. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with. 

We perceive the QA Engineer as the knowledge bank of the business domain associated with the product(s) you will be working on and shall be the main go-to person for all team members including the developers. 

QA Testing (7-8 Yrs)

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Solid understanding of Agile practices
Able to write and execute test cases and scenarios
Able to write and execute low to medium level complexity queries
Hands on experience with testing methodologies, including risk-based testing, and defect reporting procedures required
Ability to analyze software applications to verify various products conform to stated requirements.
Requires some supervision and exhibits ownership and responsibility for team delivery.

 

Skills Required:
Manual:
Works closely with developers and product owners on the Product team to devise test cases and test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage of positive and negative test cases against user story requirements.
Ensures appropriate test coverage; clearly documents, and understands which features are covered by manual tests and which are covered by automated tests.
Analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance; finds root cause of problems and recognizes those that recur and contributes to resolution process providing updates to appropriate stakeholders.
Refines existing QA processes, tools, and testing infrastructure to enhance quality and productivity with assistance.
Determines testing plan, priority, and scope for each development iteration, and communicates parameters to the appropriate stakeholders.
Verifies that iterations and sprints are working as designed and provides suggestions and feedback.
Develops appropriate regression plans for the releases with assistance.
Writes low simple to moderate complexity SQL statements to assist in testing requirements

Automation:
May perform demonstrations of developed test automation to the appropriate stakeholders with direction and oversight from more senior team members.
Develops automated scripts based on features of specific applications. 
Creates, edits, and maintains automation scripts with direction and oversight by more senior team members.
Knowledge of source control, programming laguages like Java / C++ and Object-Oriented Programming concepts
Knowledge of writing test automation using tools like selenium, specflow, Jmeter, Postman.
Basic Knowledge with API testing and its concepts.
Basic knowledge on performance testing.

EDUCATION  

BA/BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related area
