QA Automation Engineer V

Robert Half, Inc. seeks QA Automation Engineer V in San Ramon, CA:

Job Duties: Write and maintain detailed test cases/scripts that are aligned with user and business needs. Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user information to understand end-user requirements and business process content. Design/maintain test plans including cycles, cases/conditions, expected results, and requirement mapping. Coordinate and participate in all testing activities, including planning, designing, scripting, execution, and reporting. Manage multiple testing processes of moderate complexity simultaneously. Define the scope and approach of the system testing effort. Leverage standard quality reporting metrics. Stage data to meet testing requirements, based on thorough knowledge of those requirements. Consult with product development and business analysts to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and business processes. Execute and validate test cases/scripts and identify discrepancies between actuals versus expected. Review issue reporting progress and process to ensure timely reporting visibility. Identify and facilitate defect resolution with functional and technical groups. Provide real-time status updates and prepare daily and weekly status reports on progress against the work plan, including risks and issues. Monitor test progress across pre-defined test exit criteria. Create final test summary report including lessons learned. Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements: 

1. System integration testing, automating the business scenarios, test automation strategy, risk and gap analysis, and status reporting (5 years).

2. Design, development and maintenance of the automated test scripts across web and mobile platforms using Python, Robot Framework & Selenium in Visual Studio Code environment (5 years).

3. Utilize automation framework development for Web & Mobile apps leveraging Appium, XCode & Android Studio (5 years).

4. Build and integrate CICD pipelines for smoke, integration and regression tests with Jenkins, Gitlab, monitoring and reporting tools (5 years).

5. Testing the various Salesforce Classic and Lightning application standard objects (Accounts, contacts, cases, leads, campaigns, reports and dashboards) and SOQL and APEX workbench for querying salesforce platform (5 years).

6. Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, designing and integrating robust test automation frameworks with cloud services and BDD frameworks, and project management skills for overseeing multiple projects (5 years).

7. Testing REST API using Selenium, RestAssured, Robot Framework and POSTMAN and open-source reporting tools (5 years).

8. Data visualization using opensource tools to analyze the large volume of data and managing dashboards to visualize test results and metrics (5 years).
