About the role

Assist in the creation and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies for new and existing software.Execute test plans with a keen eye to identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues in our productWork directly with development teams to investigate and resolve issues.Create, manage and execute manual and automated testing to ensure the software meets the requirements and expectations of our customersMaintain a very high bar for quality with the ability and confidence to hold releases that don’t meet the standard.Maintain a “big picture’ customer perspective to strongly represent the customer’s goals and their experience using our product.Meet sprint goals, ensuring quality releases are deliveredSupport product releases through initial testing through the various stages of a release cycle.Write clear and concise documentation including test strategies, plans, test cases, reproduction steps, results and reports.Stay current with new tools and methodologies and stay current with best practices in quality

Technical expertise.3+ years of QA experience, with a strong understanding of QA best practices.Expertise in at least one programming language - preferably JavaScript or PythonPrior experience building and enhancing custom automation frameworks that engineers will use to add automation testsEvangelize and be an advocate for automation testing with Development and QA EngineersExperience using automation coverage tools to measure and track the quality of automated test coverageDetailed tracking and reporting of automation test coverage and related metricsFamiliarity with API testing using a tool like Postman.Experience working with modern web applications, and are familiar with technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Jira, Bitbucket, GitHubYou have a passion for learning about software test strategies, using both automation and manual tests,Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for finding root cause solutions to complex problems.A high bar for qualityYou understand the importance of accessible web design and polished, delightful user experience.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Communication skills.You love working in a collaborative team-based environment, and have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
