QA Analyst Customer - Telecommute Position

About the Location Fully Remote Position: This position is considered to be Fully Remote and work is done from another location outside of Phoenix Home Office (within the United States). Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote do not have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office several times a year [or more], based on business needs and in partnership with leadership. About the Job QA Analyst Customer – Telecommute Opportunity ================================== PetSmart seeks a full-time QA Analyst Customer to develop, utilize, and enhance technical documentation, knowledge bases, and DR plans. Define, create, and perform accurate system and unit test scripts for moderately complex projects and software releases. Ensure technical requirements are captured from other IS teams and identify gaps between technical design and system/application capabilities for small to medium-sized projects. Recommend and/or develop solutions to increase operational efficiencies, including utilization of automation, proactive monitoring scripts, process changes to reduce support tickets, etc. Independently perform ongoing application monitoring and identify and escalate issues appropriately. Proactively resolve moderately complex problems. Respond in a timely manner to production support calls and independently handle moderately complex issues. Seek to identify and resolve root cause problems. Perform data load and extraction activities to support testing or business needs, often across varying application platforms. Work with vendors to resolve issues as needed. Participate in vendor case reviews; supply logs, information, and facts needed to support vendor resolution of issues. Contribute to the design of technical solutions to meet business needs for small to medium-sized projects, considering capabilities, risks, and system dependencies. Develop moderately complex custom objects (queries, scripts, etc.) to meet business needs. Work with application vendors ensuring their deliverables meet established standards. Install application software and complete moderately complex configuration changes conforming to company standards. Create change controls with appropriate implementation, test, and rollback plans. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. HQ in Phoenix, AZ. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 1 year of related experience. Must also have demonstrated ability with each of the following: 1) Conducting performance system testing to verify system scalability, efficiency, and reliability; 2) Providing assistance in project design, development, and deployment activities; 3) Designing and executing SQL Queries using SQL server to perform Back-End testing and verifying the integrity of Data in Oracle, Netezza, and SQL Database; 4) Executing load and performance tests using JMeter and Perform Tibco & ETL Integration layer tests; and 5) Creating and maintaining Automation for REST API test scripts and deploying them using CI/CD Jenkins.
