As a Python Scientific Software Developer, you will collaborate with a diverse team of experts to create tailored solutions for the top 25 biopharma companies. This position is located in Munich (Germany) and will be onsite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Understanding Customer Needs: Gather and comprehend customer requirements. + Defining Requirements: Write user and functional requirements documentation. + Implementation: Lead the creation of technical specifications and implement it as robust solutions using Python and the Genedata Expressionist API. + Code Quality Assurance: Conduct unit, regression, and release testing, and perform code reviews ensuring the highest level of software quality, efficiency and robustness. + Leadership by Example: You will inspire your peers through your work ethic, dedication, and commitment to our mission. The essential requirements of the job include: + Education: PhD or MSc in bioinformatics, computer science, physics or related fields + Experience: + At least 3 years of professional experience in scientific software development, preferably in a team environment + Strong Python skills and experience developing projects with Python. You should have a deep understanding of the language and its libraries (e.g. pandas, numpy, matplotlib) + Experience in Mass Spectrometry, analytical chemistry, or related fields is desirable + Proficiency working within Linux/Unix and Windows server environments is a plus + Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to break down complex problems and develop effective, scalable solutions. + Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
