**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity in our **Hughes Network Systems** division for a **Python Developer Intern** . This position will be located at our **Germantown, MD** office. **Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and design scalable, secure, and maintainable workflows. + Assist in designing, developing, and testing Python-based applications and tools. + Support the integration of third-party APIs and libraries into existing systems. + Participate in debugging and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and performance. + Document code, processes, and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability. + Explore and recommend innovative solutions or tools to enhance development efficiency. + Learn and apply best practices in version control (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies. **Basic Requirements:** + Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. + Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2025 + 3.0 GPA or above **Preferred Qualifications:** + Basic understanding of Python programming and object-oriented concepts. + Familiarity with RESTful APIs. + Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django) and/or data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is a plus. + Knowledge of basic software development principles and debugging techniques. + Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly.
