The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model contributing to the development and optimization of our software solutions. Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python and SQL + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features + Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications + Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs + Help maintain code quality organization and automation + Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members + Participate in the design and architecture of new software solutions + Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers + Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications + Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval + Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality + Document software solutions and processes for future reference Qualifications: + Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with at least 5 years of hands-on experience + Experience with software development in a hybrid work model + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders + Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies + Familiarity with version control systems like Git + Experience with performance tuning and optimization of applications + Understanding of database design and data modeling + Ability to mentor and guide junior team members + Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues + Commitment to continuous learning and professional development + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Why Cognizant?
