The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Purchasing Specialist (Buyer) to support our government customer located in O'ahu, Hawai'i.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide all property management support and backup logistics support as required. Maintain a software and hardware database that contains, as a minimum, the make, model number or version number, serial number, purchase date, contract and contract number (if applicable), purchase price, renewal date, license data, warranty data, and period of performance for all 30th Signal Battalion NEC assets.Add, delete, or change assets in the logistics database as reflected on issue, turn-in, and Administrative Adjustment Reports (AAR).Review all transactions on missing items, according to AR 735-5, paragraph 2-5; AR 710-2, Chapter 7; and DoDI 5000.64 for discrepancies in property accountability and provide results to the COR.Receive, inventory, issue, turn in, and store property and supplies according to AR 710-2.Perform property accountability functions IAW AR 710-2 and AR 735-5, with the exception of initiating a DD Form 200, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss. Conduct physical inventories of all assets IAW AR 710-2 and provide results to the COR.Document all property end items with a photograph of the item and the item serial number overlaid with the NSN and GCSS-A description that will be maintained as a “Flip Book” to facilitate Government inspection and inventory checks.Logistic support encompassing all functions for purchasing, shipping, warehousing, managing, and tracking of material, equipment, household goods, and supplies.REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school diploma
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of experience performing property accountability, inventory, and property tracking duties.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a Government and/or IT environment preferred.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
