Job Summary Morrison Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Purchasing Manager to oversee the acquisition of food supplies for our healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective products that meet dietary requirements. In addition to food procurement, the successful candidate will also be responsible for managing utility services (e.g., electricity, water, HVAC) across the hospital, ensuring efficiency and sustainability. This dual-role position requires strong organizational skills, negotiation expertise, and an understanding of both food purchasing and facilities management. Key Responsibilities: Food Purchasing & Inventory Management: + Source, negotiate, and purchase food supplies that meet nutritional and budgetary requirements for patients, staff, and visitors. + Establish relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, high quality, and timely delivery. + Monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock availability while minimizing waste and overstock. + Collaborate with dietary and nutrition teams to align food purchases with dietary guidelines and hospital standards. + Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards. Utility Management: + Support Food Service utility services, including electricity, water, natural gas, HVAC, and waste management. + Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure efficient energy usage and implement sustainability initiatives. + Monitor and analyze utility usage and costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency. + Liaise with utility service providers to ensure uninterrupted services and resolve any issues promptly. + Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal policies related to energy and water usage. Budgeting & Reporting: Prepare and manage the food purchasing budget, ensuring alignment with the overall hospital financial plan. Track utility expenses and work to minimize costs while maintaining service levels. Prepare regular reports on food procurement, inventory, and utility usage for management review. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Nutrition, or a related field. d energy management is a plus.
