Key responsibilities for this role include:
Prepare Purchase request for Chemistry Department.
Work directly with purchase requisitioners.
Server as contact for outside vendors.
Maintain Purchase Order and Receiving documents for all orders placed.
Maintain chemical receipt inventory.
Maintain attendance records.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Must posses knowledge of GXP’s, Standard operation procedures, and pertinent Guidelines. This individual must also possess computer skills and training in word processing programs.
Position functions semi-autonomously
Must posses good communication skills, the ability to multi-task and be accurate and precise. Must posses computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft office Suit.
Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios and rates.
Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgement. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Sedentary lifting requirements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Normal office situation with occasional time spent in the laboratory.
