Fleetwood Homes – Rocky Mount is seeking a PURCHASING COORDINATOR. This is NOT a “Desk Job”. This is a hands-on position that could require you to drive a company vehicle (flatbed or box truck) or a forklift to move or unload material. The right candidate will need to have incredible attention to detail because of the large number of components you will need to track and inventory. A large part of your role will include receiving shipment paperwork and processing it for payment and inventory. In addition, strong customer service skills will play a huge part in the role to support the fluid management of assigned accounts. All of the factors are critical to ensuring every item ordered is received in support of Production.
This position will also require the ability to problem solve and effectively use resources (other team members, Management or other sources) to obtain the necessary materials for Production.
Strong time management is also an essential skill as you will spend time on the Production Lot (Grounds and Production Floor), but could go off-site, as needed.
The right person will possess strong communication skills, enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and perform well with little supervision. However, this person cannot support the Business if they are not in the Business. Therefore, attendance is a vital and critical requirement for this position.
